The Beautiful Beautiful Cabin

Mike and Trixy and I spent the weekend at our cabin on clear creek.  The weather was not the best it has been, but I wanted to blog our cabin.  We go there almost every weekend.  It takes about an hour in the boat.  We unload at the Salcha River landing and then head to the Tanana and then off to the Muddy and finally Clear Creek.  It is very serene, we typically see lots of wild life and can fish for graying right in the front yard.
Good times all the time!

Riverboat Discovery

Today June 19th Thursday.  Lunch at home then off we go for the annual Riverboat ride.  Except this year I am taking Evan AND Peyton.  The Gift shop is Evans main attraction he bought a soft cuddly fox & a key chain. Peyton got two little Alaska Flags:)
The boat ride was marvelous, lots of friendly tourist this year.  We almost got rain but it blew over just in time for us to tour the Alaska village on the Chena River bank.
We had a fabulous time.

The longest walk EVER!!

Debbie Harrop is a nut! She came up with a plan. We should walk from your house to the Last Roundup ( a good 3 miles away) and then eat burgers and walk home... OMG!! I was game, put on my pedometer and by the end of the day it 10,167.  I would say we met our goal the exercise police have put out there of 10,000 steps per day!!
Lunch was good but our trip home was hilarious we went on a safari so to speak and just checked out old houses, could be new business in town, existing businesses and then we were just flat out tired.  What a great day it all ended with us pricing out Kayak's we will be floating down the river tomorrow!!

Peyton's day with Bebs

Well I started today Wednesday the 10th of June with a drive to North Pole to pick up my youngest grandson Peyton.  We are having a day of adventure. Off we go all packed up to Farmers loop.  Debbie Harrop my adventure friend lives by some really cool hiking trails ... so off we go into the woods.
Back at her house for awesome dogs on the grill.
Later Peyton and I head over to Pioneer Park take a train ride and go to the airplane museum.  Good times:)
